Flicker in the Wire is the creative vessel of Richard Leo Hunt, EdD, an artistic thinker weaving sound, story, and soul across genres. Rooted in a deep curiosity about what it means to be human in an age of algorithms, Flicker in the Wire blends cinematic EDM, AI-inspired concept narratives, and heartfelt acoustic folk to explore the emotional and philosophical edges of modern life.

From the introspective pulse of Together in the Noise, the old school EDM drops on Shadow & Light, the haunting reflections folk album Images in My Mind, to the upcoming gritty-blues sound of Singed Cinnamon, each project invites listeners into a sonic landscape where vulnerability meets insight and where the wire between us flickers with meaning.

 Singed Cinnamon is a gritty blues-rock album about truth, perseverance, and the quiet courage it takes to keep asking questions when silence feels easier.

Built on raw, riff-driven guitars, swinging drums, warm analog organ, and soul-forward vocals, these songs explore disillusionment, loyalty, loss, and resolve without naming names, leaving room for listeners to hear their own stories inside the fire.

There’s heat here, but also sweetness. Pain doesn’t just burn, it flavors.
